JoAnna:I read your post about air vs. land travel. Read this from one of your Canadian Airlines. Scroll down to affected flights and you will see how many flights have had people that are infected. Just search any airline you are traveling on and they post a list of infected flights. Someone posted early on that they flew back and later found that her flight was listed. After getting tested she was positive and her son who picked her up was also positive.

Thanks Kim, good link. Westjet deserves some recognition for their transparency even though it is mandated by the Canadian gov. Contacting those affected persons by email would be even better.
A good question would be why is this not mandated for all airlines in all countries? The answer IMO is the data would pop the bubble of security theater, devastate the industry and crash the economy.

Finally a statistic stated in terms that give it some clarity.
"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 300,000 more people had died nationwide in 2020 than in a typical year".

Thanks, Kim, this is really useful and important information and the very reason I haven't booked a flight ... yet. I will continue to monitor WestJet and will, of course, be adopting protective coverings throughout my (hoped for) journey. I note that the data presented covers 309 flights going back to March, so over 7 months. I wonder how many flights there were, overall, during that period. Back to the drawing board on this.
