Apparently, the governor of Jalisco just pushed the ‘Botón Rojo' for the second time in this pandemic.
We have not noticed ANY restrictions here in La Manzanilla since we arrived a month ago. In fact, other than the deficit of foreign faces, it’s hard to tell there is a worldwide pandemic going on.
Well, it's not all bad news: "Fireworks are canceled, including fireworks on New Year’s Eve." Our four-legged friends are all thanking the Guv.

Thanks for the notice David.
As usual an interesting set of things not allowed.
"Meetings between co-workers, academic generation meetings, between companies, are prohibited ..."
- Seems like a good reason to stay on vacation
"and they ask not to attend any family or social gathering with people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, are waiting for the results of the test that diagnoses the contagion,"
- It would be strange if someone were to ask out loud if anyone present met those criteria.
"or that have had contact with someone who contracted coronavirus in the last 14 days."
- tracking is not really active here to my knowledge, if it were this would mean stay away from everyone. Imagine being in the position of the person below
No new regulations for Restaurants including PV and Guad.
Mask are recommended but not mandatory. Interesting to see the mask behavior here, some do some don't but as far as I can tell no one gives anyone else shit about their choice.
Another inert or learned behavior, the level of anger, so completely different than the US.
I raise bird hunting dogs and fireworks have the opposite effect on them. They run towards them thinking there is a bird o retrieve. One of them even went so far as to pick up a string of firecrackers while they were exploding. Did not get hurt but funny and scary. Made sure she was on a lead any time firecrackers were being lit off.
