Look a what these 2 men and 2 others (who unfortunately had left prior to photo) have accomplished to date:
Tomorrow they will finish the clean up and instal the (very short) drain and plumbing for the bathroom, get the new bathroom started and the cement flooring for outside and sink area framed in. Electrical will also be started.
I managed to score a new toilet, tank, and sink for $1,000 pesos and am looking for 450 lt tenaco for him.
But all this is taking money - thank you to those who have donated and purchased tickets for a beautiful Efran Gonzales painting. We have enough to get the concrete and it’s particulars and (as of 5 pm) electrical & plumbing have been covered. The bathroom essentials are covered as I just said.
So we need paint and it’s particulars (brushes, rollers, etc.) And we could be looking at $3,000 for that; We need a small tenaco at +/- 800 And probably a contingency fund if some sort (because nothing ever comes in as quoted - $2000
Aby from La Galeria has been really helpful in selling the tickets, so if (and I mean probably) there is excess funds donated than are required for this job I propose this be donated to Aby’s Emergency Fund for the people of La Manzanilla.
Please donate generously ~ tickets are available at Frozen Buddha on Wednesday, La Galeria, Otra Vez, and The Lab as their hours are posted, as well as by my email (valerie.denford@gmail.com). Remember, it will all be going to benefit La Manzanilla.
The draw for the donated Efran Gonzales painting will be at 5pm on Tuesday, February 16th at La Galeria.
