Re: Keeping birds from nesting on your roof
Having fought the pigeon wars for several years now, we have found that the only thing that works is to make sure there is nowhere for them to roost. For us this has meant netting on the inside of the palapa under the “spokes” at the top, and chicken wire around the outside. The chicken wire met with limited success . Last Saturday we put up bird spikes, which I ordered from Mx Amazon, around the edge of the roof and on a window ledge where they roosted through the night. . So far we have had none stay overnight, and I think only one or two have persisted in landing on the roof or the palapa for a short period of time.....I am tentatively calling that a win,....for now.....
