The Middle School Garden Project has been abandoned during the pandemic. Cows, chickens and others have helped themselves to the plants. We need to build a fence around the garden to preserve our efforts.
In the past, students have planted, cared for, harvested and sold produce to raise money for their education and learn about organic gardening practices.
On Saturday, February 20th at 5:00pm (17:00hr) we welcome all volunteers to come and help clear vegetation from where the fence will be built.
Bring your charged body and swing into action with tools from our tool shed. Make sure you wear appropriate clothing (long pants, long sleeved shirts, gloves, etc.) and bring some water.
Location:
The garden access is located at the end of a side street, north of the main street (Av. Lazaro Cardenas) from the highway. Coming from the beach look for a faded sign/banner about 1 3/4 blocks beyond the Escuela Secundaria. It is at the north end of unmarked Calle Mariposa.
