For interest's sake, we were delayed by two days and had to stay in 3 different hotels, and paid for a 4th because we missed being in Seattle that night.
We flew out of Manzanillo on schedule. We landed in LA and then the nightmare began. They postponed the flight from about 7:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. At 10:00 I saw the pilots leaving, and at 11:00 they announced the flight was cancelled. They said they'd arrange for a motel and to go and wait in the Ground Transportation area, and they'd email us. They never did. 5 hotels later (we had an angel of a driver but it was Valentine's day so hotels were full) we wound up in the stinky-smelling Motel 6. Slept for 3 hours and back to the airport. Delayed again, just enough to miss our Seattle connection. Flew to Seattle. Another overnight. Then on to Vancouver, where the flight to Vancouver Island was full, so we finally flew home the next morning. A 2-day flight took 4 days and a lot of money. Is there a lesson? Don't fly if it's going to snow? No, not really. I just thought those of you still in La Manz would get a kick out of it!
