Help clear a path so a fence can be built around the Middle School Garden to preserve the efforts.
In the past, students have planted, cared for, harvested and sold produce to raise money for their education and learn about organic gardening practices.
Tomorrow, Thursday, February 25th at 4:30pm volunteers are welcome to come and help clear vegetation from where the fence will be built.
A few tools are available but if you have any cutting tools like loppers, pruning shears, pruning saws or machetes please bring them. Make sure you wear appropriate clothing (long pants, long sleeved shirts, gloves, etc.) and bring some water.
Location:
The garden access is located at the end of a side street, north of the main street (Av. Lazaro Cardenas) from the highway. Coming from the beach look for a faded sign/banner about 1 3/4 blocks beyond the Escuela Secundaria. It is at the north end of unmarked Calle Mariposa.
