I was in one of the local campgrounds this morning, close to the water, when I spotted A SEA LION swimming parallel with the shore. I ran to some other folks nearby to confirm what I had just seen and it surfaced in front of all of us, but kept swimming as tho' its life depended on it.
Sea lions don't live here as a general rule, do they? Does any one out there have an explanation for why it would be out of its customary habitat?
Thank you for sharing any relevant information you may have. Tho' I'm a new resident here, I'm guessing I'm not the only one who would've thought marine mammals, such as the one many of us saw this afternoon, don't belong here.
Saludos.
