Today there were still some high tides and big waves and I was very jumpy, maybe a little PTSD or something as that memory of just what you described seeing kept flashing back.
Efit - I have never seen the waves progress as fast as they did then. From the first wave to hit the office doors it was less than a minute till they were half way up the doors then a minute later up to and over the windows. It was then that I said to myself "I got to get off the beach" and packed a boogie bag with the computers and important papers.
All the while I was doing that waves were hitting the office over window high and each time some water would come in and I could see under water.
I tried to get the chargers for the computers in case my stay was going to be a long one but got shocked doing that and gave it up.
I sat in front of the closed office for about 10 minutes chatting with Miguel from Rauals and watching 6 inches of ware come through the malicon from the beach, just imagining what was happening just inside the closed door. Then headed out.
