Internet

Hi all, I am excited to be returning to La Manz at the end of the month. I am aware that there have been internet interruptions due to the storm/flooding that happened a few weeks ago. How is the internet now? I will be working remotely and will need to conduct video conference calls but I am planning to hardwire in when working. Any advice/suggestions to improve internet connectivity while working remote that I can bring from the U.S.A? Our internet/phone provider is TelMex. Thank you and have a great day! | -----------------------Re: Internet

.... using a LAN cable to one of the modem ports is about all you can do to improve the reliability of your connection. I believe any storm related internet connectivity issues have been cleared up, although if you are on an unused service that hasn't been checked for months... there could be problems with your individual line...you will not know until you get here to try it out. If your using Zoom for your video conferencing... good. They use a tight compression algorithm that runs OK on marginal speeds. I used Zoom here for a recent meeting in Melaque and it worked pretty well. | -----------------------Re: Internet

Hello, I have been able to work remotely and attend many zoom meetings by connecting directly via the Ethernet cord using my basic Telmex internet service. In addition, I invested in a global wifi hotspot that works great. Here is the link https://www.skyroam.com/ | -----------------------
