You must check the province you are flying into. Premier Doug Ford of Ontario where I live is implementing stopgap measures for those flying into Toronto. According to CBC news ‘Effective Monday at 12:01 p.m., the province is instituting a stop-gap until the federal measures take place, he (Ford) said. The plan includes: On-arrival testing with those who refuse being ticketed $750. Increasing case and contact management with asymptomatic contacts asked to repeat testing on or after Day 10 of their quarantine. Entire households of all contacts and symptomatic individuals will be asked to stay home until the contact has a negative test. Increasing capacity to screen for variants within two or three days of initial processing. Maintaining existing public health measures "until more information on variant spread is known and overall trends in public health indicators improve." Antigen testing for high-priority settings such as long-term care and retirement homes, essential workplaces and schools.’ Source: cbc.ca | -----------------------Re: The Effect of Cancelled Canadian Flights

"I also hear that WestJet will send empty planes down to repatriate those 'in destination'. I can’t find a link for that though." I remember that info and am pretty sure it was included in one of the links on this response to Larry. When I go to those links now the reports are all much shorter than I remember them. (I could be wrong) https://members5.boardhost.com/lamanzanilla/msg/1611956035.html Noticeable on the RuthC link was "As of yesterday, there had been 51 cases of B117 confirmed in the province." These variants are starting to be referred to by name only vs describing the place they are from e.g. UK or South Africa. I thought they should be COVID 20 (UK) and COVID 21 South Africa. Add another term to the COVID dictionary, not the way I like to learn new words.
