Melaque Covid test

Had a Covid test this morning at the Calle Guzman lab in Melaque. At 6:55 there was a 25 person line up so go earlier. Bring your passport as it is scanned to verify your identity. The test itself was slightly uncomfortable but painless. | -----------------------Re: Melaque Covid test

Thanks! Will you please let me know on here, what time you receive the test? We have 3 flights to get home and I’m afraid that we might not get the result before we board in Manzanillo. Timings everything on this trip. Vicki | -----------------------Re: Melaque Covid test

I don't know where your home is, but to go to the U.S., according to the latest info, Aeromexico requires a PCI test, but American is OK with the antigen test. That's good news because it's quick. | -----------------------Re: Melaque Covid test

Thanks for all the posts. I stopped in at the lab in Melaque and talked to the owner. She pointed out that the time the governments are looking for results when the lab in PV gets the sample. They email the results in the evening, so we’ll get the swab done on a Thursday in our case, get the results on Friday night, fly on Saturday and use the test on Sunday to get into Canada. She says that will be acceptable I would love to hear from people in Canada who have returned and whether they had to quarantine or whether that’s even set up now? For the person asking about the PCR tests, they are molecular tests that the Canadian government requires. The US government requires an antigen test which is easier to take quicker to receive the results from and cheaper! Lucky you guys. | -----------------------Re: Melaque Covid test

This was a PCR test? What is the turn around time for the results? I'll need to catch a flight in Guadalajara within three days of taking the test. Yes, timing is everything! | -----------------------Re: Melaque Covid test

Yeah, but if you need a PCR test it takes at least a day to get the results so what are you gonna do, hang out at the airport, or pay for a hotel? | -----------------------Re: Melaque Covid test

Are there tests available in La Manz?? If so that would be ideal. Just looking for the antigen test. If you can confirm that they are available in town I would appreciate it. | -----------------------
