Can this be done in Melaque or is there another way? Thanks for advice and experiences. | -----------------------Re: Sending an envelope to Canada FedEx or DHL

They can be done from the office near the market entrance on the street - Ramon Corona. However if you have a restricted timescale on getting the envelope to Canada, I was told by the main office of DHL on Avenida Elias Zamora in Manzanillo that if you want to get it there quickly it is best to go to ZLO. The reason is that Melaque is considered 'off route' and the pick ups are not every day or multiple times a day. I was told that if you get it to Manzanillo before 11am it will be on a plane the same day out of here. There is an office for DHL in Cihuatlán too but I don't know about their speed of delivery options. | -----------------------Re: Sending an envelope to Canada FedEx or DHL

Thanks Dan. Probably give Melaque a try tomorrow. The office you were referring to was FedEx, correct? | -----------------------Re: Sending an envelope to Canada FedEx or DHL

From PV I sent an envelope to a lawyer Via DHL in Canada, there is 2 days... not cheap but efficient. Getting an envelope (with anything of value in it, like replacement credit cards) sent to you in Mexico is quite another story. A roll of the dice. | -----------------------Re: Sending an envelope to Canada FedEx or DHL

Sorry I was without internet the last 2 days (still am in my office, 6 days and counting!). That was DHL. The office in Melaque I think might do FedEX but I am not sure, same for Cihuatlan. But i imagine that similar to DHL we are considered 'off route'. I had my last UK passport shipped here by DHL from England. The date the passport was issued and it arriving in my hands here in Melaque was 4 days and cost 40GBP +/- $800pesos at the time. | -----------------------
