bus transport to Vallarta, question.....
Posted by nansee on February 15, 2021, 12:09 pm
Has anyone taken the Camiones Cihuatlan to Vallarta? I notice the Primer Plus leaves at 4:20 AM, so I am wanting to know if Camiones Cihuatlan Pacifico is a good alternative. They leave at 9AM - a more reasonable time. Any expereince out there?I believe is it is a second or third class bus. Thanks in advance. | -----------------------Re: bus transport to Vallarta, question.....

AutoCamiones de Pacifico is a mixed bag. Sometimes the bus can be a real beater without a bathroom and a couple of times I have gotten on one with a nice modern interior and clean bathroom, so it is a roll of the dice. The Autocamiones leaves Hwy. 200 and goes inland to Tomatlan where there is about a 10-15 minute rest stop with bathrooms and refreshments available. Then the bus goes back to the hwy. and continues to P.V. This detour usually adds about 40 minutes extra to the trip. Personaly I like it because I see a beautiful farm valley and another small Mexican town. About 5- 5-1/2 hrs. to P.v. from Melaque, although it will stop at the crucero for La Manzanilla. | -----------------------Re: bus transport to Vallarta, question.....

I have taken the bus to and from PV. for more than 10 years. There has never been more than six or seven people on the bus either coming or going. The times for the Second class bus are more convenient in both directions as well. I agree with Monty, you see some beautiful scenery. | -----------------------
