I am so sorry, sad and shocked to hear this news. I had no idea he wasn’t well. I was so fond of Joe and for so many years, he was the one responsible for me finding the lot I built my casa on over 20 years ago. He gave me such good advice, and always steered me in the right direction. I shall miss him and his wry sense of humour. Town will not be the same without him. And Joanie, I can’t imagine how difficult this must be for you. My heart goes out to you. | -----------------------Re: Rest in Peace, Joe Santana

Over 20 years ago on my first trip to LaManzanilla the first person to great me on the streets was Joe Santana. Joe showed me many interesting and great areas around the area. We had many great adventures in the years around the Costa Allegre. Joe had a great eye for the beauty of the area and captured many of the beautiful places with his photography. Joe and Palapa Joe's will be an icon of LaManz. I witnessed many of his charitable contributions to the area and the people. Really can't imagine coming to LaManzanilla and not seeing Joe. May Joe RIP. My candolences to Joannie. | -----------------------Re: Rest in Peace, Joe Santana

As the universe continues its journey, we see many of our La Manzanilla icons moving onto the next stage of theirs. I offer my condolences to those who were most near and dear to Joe, and especially to Joanie who will eventually take some solace from these many testimonials to Joe's impact in La Manzanilla. May peace be with you, Joanie. | -----------------------Re: Rest in Peace, Joe Santana
