A HUGE shout out to Jackie

We got our first vaccine today, to the time, effort, and thanks of Jackie. Although it did not go as she planned (cambio, cambio, cambio...siempre in Mexico) she arranged 25+ people to go thru the process of getting the vaccine. If any of us had tried to maneuver thru the process alone, without knowing what to expect??? Could’ve been worse. So it took longer than anyone thought (500 shots given today) at least we got one. We are very thankful. All I have to say is...thank you, thank you, thank you Jackie. I love you my friend | -----------------------Re: A HUGE shout out to Jackie

I want to add my thanks as well, Jackie. You were a real trouper all day, making sure we were in the right lineup, and then dealing with all those changes on the fly! You’re the best! | -----------------------Re: A HUGE shout out to Jackie

I have heard, David, that it is no longer imperative that you register ~ just arrive with your residential card (complete with CURP number). | -----------------------Re: A HUGE shout out to Jackie

I have both folio number and curp on my residence card, so good there. I would like to hear from those who have negative response to the shot. | -----------------------Re: A HUGE shout out to Jackie

Well, it woke up my fibromyalgia with a roar. I’m tired, my arm is pretty tender and I’m held up in bed. No nausea, just joints on fire. So I turned once again to the internet and found out a couple of things. According to the CDC, pain meds are NOT okay before your shot BUT are OKAY AFTER THE SHOT. If taken beforehand these pain meds can interrupt the job if the cells responsible for immunity, so . . . You should talk to your doctor, discuss the pain meds you are on and how long you should interrupt your regimen THEN after the shot you can resume them. If you are hurting go ahead and take your aspirin, Tylenol, or voltarin and just wait . . . This too shall pass. | -----------------------Re: A HUGE shout out to Jackie

Tylenol, not aspirin or ibuprofen, is recommended after vaccines. Tylenol is not an anti inflammatory med so the thought is that it may not suppress the response to the vaccine the way anti inflammatory drugs do. | -----------------------Re: A HUGE shout out to Jackie

Everyone experiences something different. We had sore arms and a few aching body parts...others had different reactions. Today we feel good...but still a slightly sore arm 😜👍 | -----------------------Re: A HUGE shout out to Jackie

Tracy, the website was was speaking about is https://www.vaccinateca.com/ Just put your zipcode in the the query box and it will aggregate the available vaccine in that area. | ----------------------- |
