Also if he had been more calm and not used profanity. I will go to jail before their hotels and how ironic as then the government will have to pay!!!! Really? Have you ever heard of taxes? You know, that money we all pay our various governments to have airports and roads and hospitals and police and jail and...? So, you go girl, such a rebel! Wasting everyone's taxes to support your foolishness when that money could be better spent for women's shelters, the homeless, school lunches... So Ani, I certainly hope your tests are all negative and that if it comes to it, you don't ultimately decide on jail as an option. As I said, that just puts the cost on all your neighbours. My prayers are for us all to try to be compassionate and non judge,ental,of each other and accept that everyone does not believe the sane "facts" . I do hope the TRUTH whatever that is will eventually be revealed and we can all be examples of openess and acceptance I found the video very interesting and it spurred me to find out more about COMMON LAW or NATURAL LAW as so e people call it. As I understand the new travel restrictions, one of the reasons the Canadian Government is requiring another Covid test, and mandatory hotel quarantine upon arrival is to allow time to screen for, identify and prevent, the spread of Covid variants. These variants (to my knowledge) are not accounted, or screened for in the Costalegre, or Bahia Banderas catchment areas. You’re so busy wallowing in your toxic stew of righteous indignation that you disregard, in your unwitting myopia, the safety of those with whom you interact. I empathize with your condition that precludes from wearing a mask. And, in Canadian society you are absolutely entitled to hold and express your personal beliefs. But in our (Canadian) society you are not allowed to put others at risk by your actions. None of us yet, fully understand the Corona virus, its path, or its mutations. Get off your high horse. As a Canadian you already hold a position of privilege and protection that is unimaginable to most of the world’s population. If the info on the James F post is valid then this person would be facing a serious charge. "Violating any instructions provided to you when entering Canada is an offence under the Quarantine Act and could lead to a fine of up to $750,000 and/or up to six months in prison." So it just could be that a lot of the emotions at play on this thread are over something that is not current. I haven't done the work to verify it one way or the other, but am apt to believe that the video is from before the Hotel Quarantine and that the Quarantine Act is not something to be taken lightly. Time will tell if this is repeated, if it is I want to know about it. This is the Internet, if anything it will teach you to be skeptical and to watch out for trolls (people who like to get everyone all worked up over nothing). Hopefully the end result is tolerance, we can oppose something and express our opinion without hate or getting all emotionally worked up. This too shall pass. This message is locked.

I have learned a lot from reading all the posts!! Here is a link to an interview of the same man just outside the airport “presumably” just after his refusal of the test etc. Other people in this community, afraid to post this, sent it to me encouraging me to do so. What I am realizing: For me personally, the govt’ts approach has been a sticking point that has caused me grief and anger to the detriment of my own happiness. and awareness of a “bigger perspective” on “calm, kind, safe”. I have, from this thread, and a heated discussion with a wise, compassionate friend, come, for now, to a place of acceptance of the government mandates. I get to be more “calm and caring” REGARDLESS of my personal views/lopinions about COVID and what I think is required to “be safe”. May 2, when I plan to arrive, is still a long way off!
