PCR testing at Manzanillo Airport
Posted by Anneli on March 24, 2021, 7:01 pm
Hi - I am wondering if anyone has had their PCR test done at Manzanillo Airport? Can it be done the same day as the departure? I need to travel to a country where the PCR test can not be older than 24 hours. So my question is whether I can get the PCR result back the same day as the testing, at the Manzanillo airport. I would appreciate any feedback, thank you! | -----------------------Re: PCR testing at Manzanillo Airport

When were there last week to get the fast test for US destination, they were telling others it was 72 hours for PCR and an extra day if you missed the 10 am cutoff. | -----------------------Re: PCR testing at Manzanillo Airport

This piqued my interest and I tried to find a country requiring that.... found not one. Maybe you should check that again. In my personal experience it takes 18 hours minimum at the lab for PCR test and if you factor in taking the RNA samples, packaging and transport to a lab ...impossible in Mexico. Hardly possible in USA but like everything there if one throws money at it and gives the sample at the lab....maybe. | -----------------------I have a different story

Maria at the lab in Melaque rushed my PCR samples to the 9:30 bus going to PV. She heard that I was stopping in the US enroute to Canada, and was going to get the antigen test at the airport so I could fly. My results came to my email at 11 the next morning on my way to the airport...less than 26 hours after the test. I went in on the 8:30 bus and back on the 9:40 and got the test without delay. Hats off to Maria! | -----------------------Re: I have a different story

Thank you all for your responses. I appreciate it. It is Denmark that only allows the PCR test to only be 24 hours, which I am realizing is impossible from Mexico. I am heading home to Sweden but always go through Denmark since it is closer to my part of Sweden. So I will have to fly to the middle of Sweden, a country that allows 48 hours and accepts the antigen test. Thank you! | -----------------------Re: I have a different story

What a coincidence..my sister has lived in Denmark for 38 years and they have had the restriction of “nobody entering or leaving the country” for over a month. A test within 24 hours is how they dumb it down. | -----------------------
