Primera plus Melaque- P.V. question
Posted by Darzo on March 29, 2021, 9:44 am
When I try to get a bus ticket on Primera Plus online, between Melaque and Puerto Vallarta, the page tells me that there are two busses per weekday, one at 2:00 a.m. and one at 4:20a.m.and no other options. Can this be true? I dont want to take a bus at that time of day, or night, really. Any info appreciated. | -----------------------Re: Primera plus Melaque- P.V. question

Hi Darzo Last I checked there were four or six per day. It seems the website has been wrong for quite a while and so I can’t imagine that is correct. Maybe someone in Milwaukee can go to the Primera plus for you and check the times they offer. We are sorry to see you go Darzo it’s been really fun playing music with you! Have a safe journey | -----------------------Re: Primera plus Melaque- P.V. question

It seems that it depends on what day you want to leave as to what time Primera's buses leave out of Melaque, but for the random days that I checked, the 11:50am bus was available. As Felipe pointed out there are no stops on the first class buses between Melaque and P.V. However the bus does stop at the Primera office in Old Town before heading on to the main terminal just past the airport. FYI, Autocamiones del Pacífico (Transportes de Cihuatlán?), just across the street in Melaque from the Primera station, also have good first class buses that we've taken several times but I've never been able to find out their schedule or book online. There may be others "here" who know their schedule. | -----------------------from the APP

2:10 am arrive pv 6:20 am 4:25 am arrive pv 9:40 11:50 am arrive pv 4:40 Having traveled extensively to PV this is the First Class Bus. and makes NO unscheduled dropoffs... PV is full of great Air B n B spots in Old Town (PV) and a Primera Plus stop is there and stops at the Airport. Safe travels...

Thanks for the tips, everyone. We went to Melaque yesterday and bought our tickets to PV next week at Primera Plus. The afternoon bus has been completely sold out for 3 days,so we purchased tickets for the 4:25 a.m.bus.-Ugh,-but anyway, it's done. So just a heads up, if you're planning to bus to PV soon, the daytime Primera Plus bus is unavailable likely all next week. | -----------------------Re: from the APP

I've always gone from Melaque to PV first class at 1:00 or 1:30 p.m. on the bus line right across the street from Primera Plus in Melaque. (I think it's Monte who always remembers the name correctly.) This info might be too late for you, but it might be helpful to someone else. | -----------------------Re: from the APP

The bus lines that Lynne mentions is Autocamiones del Pacifico. https://www.autocamionesdelpacifico.com/index.php?r=site/plus Because their schedule is not always as is posted on their schedule board, I always go there and ask them is such and such bus running on said day at said time? Based on the hours posted I have shown up early in the morning to find out that the bus does not run at a particular hour on a specific day as posted on the schedule board. Lesson learned the posted schedule may not be up to date. Primera plus has a time limitation on refunding tickets. | -----------------------Re: from the APP

Thanks, Monte. I never had that experience with Autocamiones, but I believe you. I think that Primera Plus, rather than giving a refund, allows you to use the ticket you purchased within one year if you couldn't travel on the original date. | -----------------------
