The vaccine offered is single-dose CanSino from China and cannot be administered to someone who already has their first vaccine of different origin | -----------------------Re: Cannot get your 2 nd vaccine here

Yes, thanks for posting such complete information. Although I would have preferred a single dose vaccine, I'm somehow glad that I need a second dose of AstraZeneca because I now think its negative publicity results from the fact that, unlike other pharmaceuticals, Oxford produced its vaccine according to a no profit model. (I can't cite a source because this fact has now passed into the "common knowledge" category.) And La Huerta is further away than Cihuatlan... | -----------------------Re: Covid 19 Vaccine. We made an appointment to get our vaccine, single shot in La Huerta tomorrow for 11:30 am but they just called back and said it was only for Mexican citizens and permanent residents at this time of year and for this vaccine. Even though we have a CURP number and own a house here, we couldn't receive the vaccine with our temporary tourist visa. They called us to save us the trip and be turned away. | -----------------------Re: Covid 19 Vaccine. La Huerta this week

....."only for Mexican citizens and permanent residents" ...did they say no residente temporal? | -----------------------Re: Covid 19 Vaccine. La Huerta this week

All seniors 60 and over, regardless of immigration status, were eligible to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine in Cihuatlan. (Several Barra friends on tourist visas were vaccinated.) Apparently La Huerta has different rules and/or a limited supply of this single-dose vaccine? At least they called and saved you a trip. That's a first! | -----------------------
