Yeah, well, there you go then. Canada is doing better on the vaccines part, still looking at November before 70% vaccinated. https://covidvax.live/location/can That is vaccinated for COVID 19, chances are slim that will cover all the variants that are popping up, That means another span of time until everyone is truly vaccinated, if the availability does not change again. Not to mention that those vaccinations will have to be repeated every 6 months or so because the rest of the world is not even close to being vaccinated. Oh well, its a big price to pay but sure beats temporarily lifting patent protections, that may anger the pharmaceuticals to the point they won't help at all next pandemic. /s (close sarcasm) Perhaps its time we found a more compassionate and less predatory way to get the medicines we need. It may take a lot of pain but eventually people are going to say ENOUGH, we want this to end! The TRIPS waiver will finally be adopted and the planet will get the vaccines it needs at the price it can afford, a couple of years late but what is time, its only people dying. I for one hope there is blow back that makes it glaringly clear how far Big Pharma has moved from being a provider of medicines to a creator of pain and misery.

This about says it all when it comes to big pharma: We need to find "a more compassionate and less predatory way" Thanks, Daniel. | -----------------------Re: Returning to Canada - Where ther is a will, there is a way!

Sad news for Canada, kinda hard to believe. At first I didn't trust Narcity, it only has internal links, nothing to the CDC even though they copied the CDC website exactly in the lower part. https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices/covid-4/coronavirus-canada Then I was thinking that possibly the CDC warnings are like the travel warnings we get from the US Consulate (which are red all the time). Turns out same for the CDC, take a look at this map, the whole planet is red! Meaning this news is about as valuable as the US consulate warnings i.e. its not. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/map-and-travel-notices.html Also, on the CDC link above, the Fully Vaccinated and un vaccinated travel recommendations is exactly the same. WTF? That kind of crap is called covering your ass so no one can sue you. The CDC's credibility just took a hit in my world. Narcity is a pretty icky website IMO, that article while true, is click bait.

We took a cab from our friends place, $60 US, same to car on the other side $60 Can. My friend who put us up was insanely paranoid, he's been vacinated, but insisted on masks inside, and kept all doors open despite 40 degree temps and gale blowing! The brainwashing up here is well set! | -----------------------Re: Returning to Canada - Where ther is a will, there is a way!

The info to which David was referring re: Canada surpassing the US in number of cases per million was on the front page of the Globe and Mail today, April 12. | -----------------------Re: Returning to Canada - Where ther is a will, there is a way!

Oh, thanks for the link (not). Another fruitless search, closest I got was this https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-canada-surpasses-covid-19-critical-care-peak-worst-is-yet-to-come/ My god you would think linking to something was difficult. Here are some instructions on how to link, its really easy At the top of every web page, Facebook page etc. is the address bar. The address (URL) starts with https:// or https://, if you click on it it will burn blue, you right click and select copy. Next you go to the white space on the message board where you post a message, put the mouse arrow in that white space and left click, then right click and select paste. Close rant.

Thank you for the link David, I think (but not positive) Bloomberg is a better source. "And the UHN network may soon exceed its capacity to offer extracorporeal membrange oxygen, or ECMO, to Covid patients, an artificial heart and lung technology that can be used when a ventilator is insufficient." Haven't head of that before "resulting in shifting tactics and messaging. Complex color-coded lockdown restrictions -- is which “gray” represents a higher threat than “red” I think I would prefer something other than grey, the situation is already depressing enough. Perhaps levels of red? | -----------------------Re: Returning to Canada - Where ther is a will, there is a way!
