Busy ambulance crew

This is a very busy time of the year for the ambulance. In the past two weeks, we provided service for a broken arm, a possible stroke, 3 car accidents on Carretera 200 all in the area north of here where construction is going on, a flipped quad, and a scorpion sting. A word about scorpion stings: we are not able to stock anti-venom injections for scorpion stings because it is extremely expensive and it has a very short shelf-life. The Centro de Salud doesn't have it, nor does Dra. Martha. The best we can do is transport the person to Cihuatlán as fast as possible. They have it there. Another thing that's keeping us busy is the training of three new men on the ambulance crew. They have completed two trainings so far. Thank you, Panchito, and thank you to all of La Manzanilla for your continued support. We still need more donations to get through the summer and into the next high season. You can donate at the Lab, the bookstore, or through Western Union. logo pg | -----------------------
