Rain report - apox 9 inches

We got approximately 9 inches of rain yesterday. I say approximately because just before the big two hour rain the gauge was at 3 inches, that was from 9 am to about 3 pm of nice steady rain. Next time I checked (after the big rain) it was overflowing. The gauge measures 5 inches and holds about 6. So I am guessing I missed 2 inches since that was inch an hour kind of rain. I dumped it out around 6 or so and since then we got one more inch. Those two hours are exactly the kind of rain we don't need, it doesn't soak into the ground and just ####s shit up. | -----------------------Be safe brother...

Oh Danial I hear your frustration loud and clear! Was so saddened to hear of neighbors being flooded along the roads that connect to the arroyo, again! Time to take some preventative action along the riverbanks! But then there is no way to stop the tidal surge! What to do? Taking suggestions! Oh that might be scary! Take good care all! | -----------------------Re: Rain report - apox 9 inches

No idea who Billboard is. The arroyo at the entrance to La Manzanilla turned into a river yesterday. It empties into the alligator lagoon at the north end of town. Riverfront property along Maria Guadalupe Uzura. | -----------------------Re: Rain report - apox 9 inches

.... the storm produced 16 inches in West Melaque, the canal overflowed and was beyond capacity in places. The water went above the bridges, but the flooding wasn't as severe as last August... | -----------------------Re: Rain report - apox 9 inches

Last August the house almost fell into the Arroyo. What do you think, global warming or just a couple of wet summers? | -----------------------Re: Rain report - apox 9 inches
