Grant and Lee were one of the first people we met in La Manzanilla over 20 years ago. They were then and remained one of the most gracious and fun loving people we’ve ever met. Many town, beach, traveling, dancing, partying memories will never be forgotten. Especially, Grant’s usually taking our money at poker night. Lee, You are such a wonderful and special person. I guess we move on. We love you. j & d | -----------------------Re: The Generals

Grant was truly one of the sweetest men Debbie and I have ever met. His sense of humour and artistic appreciation made it fun to be around him, as well as his ability to remain calm in any situation. The music jams at Grant and Lee's Mexico house were legendary, made all the better by his generous attitude. We loved him and will miss him dearly. We feel for your loss Lee, and we are always ready to help you with anything you need. Rest In Peace hermano

We will never forget the story of the kudamundai's invasion of the refrigerator. Grant had placed a bungee cord around the door and all they heard all nite, was thump, thump, thump. Grant, you already are sorely missed.

Grant, a man well-loved by many, has been my good dear friend for years. We were the art dept at White Rock Jr High for almost two decades. At Christmas back in 1987, he and Lee introduced me to this wonderful village, La Manzanilla, for which I will be forever grateful. We’ve spent many happy seasons here in the sun. RIP, General Grant, | -----------------------Re: The Generals

A couple of years back, I posted on this message board looking to see if anyone had any bass guitar gear I could rent while I was in LM. Grant answered my post and we met in town. After a brief conversation, he said I could use his bass guitar and amp. I offered to pay him for the use of his gear and he said it wasn't for rent but I could use it for as long as I want.We became friends. I will always remember the great jams he hosted for all us local musicians. My heart is so sad that he is gone. I feel blessed to have known him and shared many laughs together. RIP my friend. | -----------------------Re: The Generals

Grant was one of the first guys I met 12 years ago, he welcomed me to the Wednesday breakfast meeting and soon I felt as a regular which was very nice for a stranger. As seasons pasted, strangely enough, we found ourselves at the airports while coming and going from and to LM from YVR. What I am trying to say is that Grant made you feel like an old friend from day one. Over the years we talked as guys go, I helped him were possible and he did the same; just two guys becoming friends. We emailed back and forth, he shared jokes and we both laughed. I will really miss his friendship, Dianne and I both send our sincerest condolences to Lee. Thanks Grant for being there when I we met. | -----------------------Re: The Generals

I was wondering who was responsible for that "New Star " in the night sky. The passing of some few is so profound that it shakes the foundations of the world. Grant will be seriously missed... ....." sail on silver bird, Sail on by. Your time has come to Shine. All your dreams are on their way. See how they shine....." Like a bridge over troubled water, Simon and Garfunkle Our thoughts and prayers are with you Lee.. Anything we can do to help..... Grant lent his expertise to Art Saturday by showing us how to pit fire pottery! Further, a fine musician at Ron Blett’s jams. A wonderful character, I will miss his cheery smile. All love to Lee and family, condolences.

Grant was a kind, caring and fun-loving person. It was an honour and privilege to be his friend. I will miss his wry smile and the glint in his eye as he was telling a joke . There are no words that can ease the pain of a loss like this however I am hopeful that the beautiful and caring thoughts about Grant's character that have been posted on this board will provide some comfort to Lee, his family and his many friends. | -----------------------Re: The Generals

My wife Betty-Jean taught with Lee at Crescent Park school for many years and that started our friendship with Grant and Lee. As with many of you, we were also introduced to La Manz when Grant and Lee let us stay in their home 20 years ago. Grant was always there to help in any chore or a drive to the airport and was always pleasant and considerate. We have so many memories of the fun we had together and we will miss Grant greatly. We'll be there for you Lee in La Manz and Crescent. Love BJ and Paul | -----------------------Re: The Generals
