Can/USA Remains Closed for Another Month

Canadian/USA border will remain closed for another month.. this time as required by the Americans. So the idea of vaccinated Americans being allowed into Canada went out the window. I believe the requirement for fully vaccinated Americans to yet require a PCR test and the required 'ArriveCan' registration, did the idea in... This has already or likely will become a political issue and is not a health related issue. If the Americans were really concerned about the coming and going of day-trippers across international borders, one only has to look at the border cams in Nogales. Thousands of Arizona folk coming and going as they please, lineups blocks long on a Saturday, Arizona folk heading into Mexico for fun n sun down in San Carlos or Guaymas. i know... a few weeks ago I joined the lineup, drove into Mexico, didn't even slow down. As a Canadian going into the USA.. barely looked at my passport.. said "have a nice day" | -----------------------Re: Can/USA Remains Closed for Another Month

Living on the west coast of Canada, here is what was said in the morning newspaper. ‘ As of August 7, fully vaccinated US citizens and permanent residents will be allowed to enter Canada, with the rest of the world to follow on September 7.’ Fully vaccinated friends of mine flew to California last week after getting a Rapid Covid test, and upon return needed to get a PCR test in the US before reentering Canada. Canadians, up to this point, vaccinated or not, have never been forbidden to fly to the US during the pandemic, driving across the border is still not allowed. No word yet on when that might happen. I’ve also heard that Mexico is advising foreigners not to travel there right now. Note I said ‘advising’ not ‘forbidding’. | -----------------------
