The dance / rodeo of the fisher persons
Posted by Daniel H on July 22, 2021, 11:23 pm
I was watching them spin the line above their heads, very much like a person spinning the rope above their head in a rodeo to catch a bull or a calf, i.e rope a fish. I was also watching their whole process, very much like a dance. I thought of splicing the spinning the line over their heads parts with similar parts of a rodeo, but that is beyond my capability (its something Sheila could do). So instead I just let the video run for a few minutes and will leave it up to you as to weather or not you can see what prompted this post. Go full screen of course.

I love the connection you've made, Daniel: the lasso and the fishing line; something I've never noticed and totally cool. "what prompted this post"? Egad, I could never get that much into your mind. Do tell. I am curious about the depth these guys are in. Is this because the trench/trough is do deep right now, or is there some kind of illusion? Are they as close to shore as they seem? Or further and deeper out? | -----------------------Re: The dance / rodeo of the fisher persons

Not much illusion, they are close to shore, its just that the sand has not come back yet. But it is happening and in a different way than usual, its coming from the South end of the beach and gets close to the office daily. There are some pretty good high tides in the next couple days, that should hasten the process. https://www.tide-forecast.com/locations/Manzanillo-Colima-Mexico/tides/latest The beach took a real beating this last storm, its been nothing but shore break and rocks since then but little by little she is healing.

Boy-Howdy buckaroo, did you gander any of those hombres corral or cinch up any of those critters into the paddock? Pert near the 3.00 mark maybe that pescador on the north just mighta lassoed one. That is one of my favorite ways to while away my time ............ when the fish cooperate. They haven't been cooperating much for quite a spell now and each year they seem to be getting less cooperative. Spect' it has something to do with what the guy on the tv calls climate change. I invite them home, tell them they are the guest of honor and I will cook up a special recipe just with them in mind. Not many takers, maybe it is the covid and they are isolating. | -----------------------Re: The dance / rodeo of the fisher persons
