Sunset in the ocean

The money shot High tides, the rock pile in front of the office is now in front of Loka Lara's, which means the waves have a clear path to my area and office. Video sucks, I am a full blown idiot so took it too late when the real action had already happened.
I am putting the tide boards back up, its the first line of defense for high tides, completely worthless for hurricanes. I have a serious aversion to dirty ocean water going through my office i.e. paranoid. Interesting time to be living this close to the ocean with global weirding. Most times I feel like I am living in a place that no longer exist, some sort of twilight zone. This office has already been demolished and a modern two story structure with rentals on the top and store fronts below has taken its place. I am residing in that interim, the old is gone but the new hasn't shown up yet. Love it!

Hi Daniel, You are the epitome of: optimism, determination, resilience or you do a really good job of faking it, which s just as good. What's your secret? | -----------------------Re: Daniel - The Epitome of

The answer is (and its no secret) is that I am an Idiot. I am in love with a location / lifestyle and as Charles Bukowski would say (and is certain true in this instance) "love is a dog from hell, it comes with its own baggage". More for those with interest. Your question would be more properly address to those who have lost everything (I haven't) to a fire or a tornado etc. How do they keep "optimism, determination, resilience"? Its like the old couple you see being interviewed on the news saying "This is the fifth time we have lost our home to a tornado, we will rebuild". The reporter as why? The answer usually is "we like it here". (off camera they continue saying "its keeps us busy and there is nothing old in our house, it all gets replaced for free every 5 years or so". It's the same for people who live in fire, tornado, hurricane, earthquake etc. areas who loose everything and say "we will rebuild". But the real answer is more than "we like it here". Its their home, where their friends and family are and most likely where they grew up i.e, its familiar, they are in love with it. Throw into that mix Optimism bias (what will eventually be our doom) and you got what I hope is the answer to your question
