Admittedly, it's been a long time since I've gone to a teller window to withdraw money, but I could always just present my passport and debit card and get as much as I wanted. When did that change?
Today, I had to show my passport and residente permanente card, and I could only take out 9000 pesos. Plus, I had to insert my card and enter my NIP in a card reader on the counter. The remainder of what I needed came from the ATM in the lobby, which also apparently has a 9000 peso daily withdrawal limit now.
Other than the fact that Banamex has never been easy to deal with, imo, is there a reason for these procedure changes?
