Here are some comments from this week’s learners:
“[My tutor] is easy to talk to, friendly and communicative.”
What did you enjoy today? “Shopping in the market - learning!”
“I have a new friend!”
The second week of classes (27-31 Dec.) is already FULLY BOOKED!
We hope to continue to run the program through mid January, or longer!
If you haven’t already, please contact me, Donaldo, if you are interested in bettering your Spanish Conversation and participating in La Catalina’s Walk ‘n Talk for weeks Jan. 3-7, and/or, Jan. 10-14.
The model:
Spanish learners are paired 1:1 with a native Spanish-speaking tutor.
Together, you walk about town, do your shopping, sit in the jardín, go for a coffee. Together you decide where you want to go, and what you want to work on: new phrases? pronunciation? idioms?slang? verbs? Or, you could just stay and converse under a shade tree in the beautiful La Catalina garden. Your call!
ALL Spanish-speaking abilities welcome! Learn a few word and phrases, or perfect your fluency while making connections and having fun!
Mon-Fri, 9:30-11. (Times May be flexible if it works for your tutor.)
Cost: $500 pesos for five 1.5 hour sessions... (This money goes directly to your tutor at the end of the week.)
Covid Policy: During the challenging times of this global pandemic, based on our understanding, and in an effort to help keep students and tutors safe, La Catalina requires that all students and all tutors be double vaccinated.
Please let me know if you are interested or if you have questions!
We are working on improving communication with our students. There seem to be ongoing issues with La Manzanilla internet service. Our sincere apologies if this has affected our communications with you! So, if possible, in addition to emailing me, please try texting, phoning, or using WhatsApp to contact me. Thank you.
Thank you all for your enthusiasm and your patience as we continue to work on ironing out the bugs, and making this a great program!
Feliz Navidad a todos!
