Re: Where to get a Mexican driver's license
I did mine in April. I had all the copies but in typical Mexican fashion they found them unacceptable and sent me outside the office to have them redone for a relatively minor fee. I recommend getting there early as a line forms about half an hour before they open. The head honcho had a hand held translation device. He would scan the question and then show me the translation and I would try and pick the correct answer . The biggest problem is the translations were really really bad so it was a challenge. If you read the questions on line first you will see they are not well written to start with but it will help to familiarize yourself with them ahead of time. At some point in the process you will have to go up the street towards the church to pay for the license . I do not remember if it was before or after I took the test. They kind of made me wait around till the end as I was a special case, I.e. not fluent in Spanish. Plan to spend a long time there and it will all work out in the end. If you are really worried about the language issue take somebody with you. When I was researching this I found a map on TomZap Barra that pinpointed the location of the office.
