You are absolutely right. Those of us who were here in May and June of last year are exchanging opinions based on our own observations. I see nothing wrong with that, as long as no one gets nasty or attacks anyone else. For example, my fully vaccinated Mexican landlady, with underlying health conditions, contracted Covid last June and was given a one percent chance of survival. (She finally came home in December.) By her own admssion, she carelessly interacted with unvaccinated hospedaje guests from Guadalajara, without wearing a mask; her only contact with a foreigner was me, who lives full-time on the property. Also, I witnessed no new arrivals from the North during that period. I'm not engaging in a "blame game," just stating the reasons why I agree with Bonnie.
