For insect repellent, I put a couple handfuls of neem leaves in the blender with enough alcohol de Cana 96%, to liquefy it, strain it through a cotton cloth, put the liquid back in the blender, add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and emulsify the oil into the neem liquid. I keep it in a mister bottle in the refrigerator. The oil will eventually start to separate so it will need shaking before spraying. | -------------------Do you have leaves?

Neem trees are all over town. I have one at Casa Luz. There is a big one outside of Los Titos on the other side of Playa Blanca. Once you know how to recognize them you will realize how many there are around. | -------------------Re: Do you have leaves?

for plants, I would use water instead of alcohol to extract the green juice, filter the same but then add 4 or 5 drops of dish soap to the mix and blend. The dish soap acts as a humectant so that the juice will stick to leaves and not just run off. Must be reapplied after a rain. Also when not in use it should be refrigerated otherwise the neem extract gets really stinky after about 2-3 days. | -------------------
