Best not to give her too much attention, she's shy. My computer did a real hard crash after your post I did some hardware upgrade on Friday and want to use some better software. I liked the software that comes along with windows 10 but am not fond of windows 10 itself so am running windows 8. The search continues when I have the time. The cam is still looking for a home, here is her current situation

A bit (or a lot) more on this. Here is a screen shot of what the cam was streaming for tonight's sunset I am happy with that. The goal of the web cam was to share my fortune of living directly on the beach in Mexico. For most of the past 6 years the results have fallen far short of that goal, but with this latest hardware change I am satisfied. I still have some issues with Telmex and upload speeds. If I complain they boost me up a bit. A few years ago I bought the hardware to combine two internet connections (and I have been paying for two Internet connections since then) to get more speed but have never set it up (don't ask why). I remember someone named Rick saying that they know how to set that system up, it may be time for it to happen? Edit: the clarity of the cam changes with the upload speed so sometimes it is better than others. Starlink will fix that when it happens. I could get great upload speeds via Telcel but the cost would be completely unrealistic. The quality also changes with the time of day i.e. exposure. Mid day being the best, it struggles with mornings. That is a software issue, but I can take it off auto exposure and make it better, when I think of it or whatever. Streaming has become very common place, people are streaming their doorbell cams so they can see what is happening at their home, or kids school, or in the other room of their house. In remote situations there is the Solstice cam (and many other similar but cheaper alternatives) just mount it someplace and stream away! https://www.solsticecam.com/ End edit ------------ As far as the tree goes, the respecting others privacy has been discussed before, that is the reason the cam is so far back from the beach, its a balance. (I could do a good 1,000 word rant with citations on that topic but am holding it back). One thing you can do, if you find the amount of tree to be less than desirable, is to use the scroll bar on the right of your window to move the screen up so you don't see it. There is actually a few things you can do to change what your seeing, play with it

The cam has always led a precarious life, here it is when it lived on the big stump And where it was until hurricane Enrique, on top of the Tequila bottles under the Palapa, but still big time mickey mouse set up. When I very first set it up I was moving it around to different places and took it into the office at night.
