We are flying to Mexico next week, and are both completely vaccinated for Covid. Does anyone have any info if we should quarantine for 1 or 2 weeks or what is the protocol upon arrival to La Manzanilla. thank you | -------------------Re: Quarantine

No quarantine needed. Many here are not vaccinated, so please be sure to always wear a mask in public. Had a guy tell me the other day he won't get vaccinated because the shots have anti freeze in them. Be prepaired for the clueless, they walk among us. | -------------------Re: Quarantine

Masking is personal choice. Not many people wearing them. | -------------------Re: Quarantine

Yup, more people than not wearing a mask. It is still the law in Jalisco to wear one in public, and still the lawless who refuse to wear one. | -------------------Re: Quarantine

The word "lawless" implies some sort of anarchy, so I think a better term for the maskless would be "disregarders." I count myself among them unless I'm inside with other people or on a bus or other form of public transportation. No one will fine me or arrest me for using common sense. | -------------------Re: Quarantine

We didn't have to quarantine when we arrived in Mexico City on Dec 4 last year, when we had not yet been vaccinated, so I would think you don't have anything to worry about, especially if you have been vaccinated. | -------------------Re: Quarantine

I think one thing that should be noted, our town has had a tough financial time since we were first told, "Two weeks to flatten the curve." I think everyone can agree, even tho you have the vax, you can still catch, carry, nd speed the virus. Also coming from Los Estados y Canada, you have been exposed to many more variants. Some scientists are claiming there are over 100 variants. Some completely resistant to the vaccines. (Sorry, no links Sr. Moderator) Hoping that all northern visitors respect our local people and sanitize, mask in tight areas and keep your distance. And above all, be kind. | -------------------
