COVID boosters

It sounds like the Cihuatlan hospital will be administering COVID booster shots next week. I will be happy to offer a ride to the hospital to anyone who needs it on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. I can be reached at 315-351-5096. From my past experience, it seems like later in the day is better than first thing in the morning. | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

Do you have to be a resident? | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

Yes, because the booster round requires a CURP. Check out the Costalegre/Covid 19 FB page for complete details. | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

Jeanne, do you know if you either have to register or can just show up? I would be interested in going and getting one. Here are my contact numbers if you know when you are going. 315-351-7467 and evy1949@icloud.com. I too can drive there if that is helpful. I’m a permanent resident but not sure if that matters. Gracias! | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

You need to sign up for the booster. | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

I have been reading the posts on the Costalegra/COVID19 page on FB. From what I gather from that page, you need to have your ID (passport), your CURP, which you get if you're a residente permanente, and proof of your first two shots in Mexico. I read that the registration part is not necessary, that they will take you anyway. I am now planning on going on Tuesday after 12. My car is small and will hold 4 people total. If anyone has a bigger car and would like to drive, that's fine too. | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

Jeanne, we have already spoken by phone, so I hope that I'm included in the Tuesday foursome. I will still help you Saturday with the official vaccination form that you need to get the booster; the handwritten papers from the clinic do not suffice. You now have my phone number, so please call me if there are any changes re: either day. Thanks! | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

What is the official vaccination form? And where to get it? | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

Does anyone know which vaccine it is? Phizer? Aztra Zeneca? Or another? Thanks. | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

I know that the previous vaccine that was available in Cihuatlan was Astra Zeneca. I'm guessing that this booster is the same. | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

The site to download your vaccination certificate is cv.covid.salud.gob.mx All seniors in Mexico will get an AstraZeneca booster, no matter what shots they received before. | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

Hola Lynne Would you please double check the spelling on the link you posted? It doesn't seem to work. Thanks! | -------------------Re: COVID certificate url

It didn't work for me either, and I've tried for hours using every address I can find to download my certificate. | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

I just easily accessed cvcovid.salud.gob.mx My apologies if there was a typo in my first try Once you have your vaccination certificate, you go back to mivacuna.salud.gob.mx to register for the booster, using some info from the certificate. Choose the second option, refuerza, if you are 60 or older. | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

My God, 20 years of Internet and no ####ing link https://cvcovid.salud.gob.mx/ And its not because some don't know how to link its because "they are not hand holders...people can find the information themselves". In my book that's just being mean. | -------------------Re: COVID boosters

I have also read that it isn't necessary to preregister online. However, if you don't, you will hold up the line because the Servidores de la Nacion will have to fill in a blank form for you by hand--especially time-consuming if you can't answer their questions in Spanish. The lines are already long enough, so I hope that people take the time to preregister and hand in their printed form to save lots of people lots of time. It took me about two minutes to register at mivacuna.salud.gob.mx https://mivacuna.salud.gob.mx/index.php | -------------------
