Paperwork needed for Booster
Posted by Valerie D on January 10, 2022, 11:52 am
I have just returned from Melaque, at the offices of Bienstar, and if the OS of their vaccinations will produce an authorization for the booster that is all you need, along with identification and CURP. Nothing else is required. | -------------------OS of their vaccinations???

On the website you can download the QR code’s for your past vaccines. I was unable to do so BUT the OS (operating system) of the Mexican authority DID provide me with a certificate that would allow me to have not booster. With so much confusion about what you needed, I went to Bienstar to see if they could provide me with my 2 QR code’s. The gentleman at their office assured me that I only need to have the certificate for booster, my ID, and my CURP. | -------------------Re: OS of their vaccinations???

Thanks for checking this out, Val. Now I can seriously lighten my load, document-wise. | -------------------Re: Paperwork needed for Booster UPDATE

Sally Webber (another cat lady, from Barra) got her booster in Cihuatlan today. She just posted on the Costalegre/Covid 19 FB page that these documents were required: booster registration form (they keep one half and you get the other); copy of CURP (which they keep); ID; and proof of first two vaccinations. So I suggest that anyone who isn't able to print out her/his vaccination certificate with the QR code take the handwritten documents you received when you got your first two doses. | -------------------Re: Paperwork needed for Booster UPDATE

Well, that makes the file I have to take a bit thicker . . . and not what I was told. Better to be safe than sorry, I guess. | -------------------Re: Paperwork needed for Booster UPDATE

Does anyone know which vaccine is given for the booster shot? | -------------------Re: Paperwork needed for Booster UPDATE

Those vaccines might be given to the remainder of unvaccinated folks for their first two doses, but AstraZeneca will be used for the booster--no matter which vaccine a person received the first two times around. (Please don't ask for a link, Mod D. This info has been all over Mexican news for at least three weeks.) | -------------------Re: Paperwork needed for Booster UPDATE & New Rules

And it makes my file a little thinner, because now I know that I don't need to take a CFE bill in my landlord's name at a nonexistent address, or my passport, or... I think the reasoning behind this requirement is that only people with a CURP who received both vaccine doses in Mexico more than six months ago are eligible for the booster. The official certificate and/or the paper copies issued by the Servidores de la Nacion might be the only way to prove this status. On a related note, as of Friday, throughout Jalisco, one must show a vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test taken within the past 48 hours in order to enter a bar, restaurant, cantina, convention center, nightclub etc. (This gubernatorial dictate will be in effect at least until mid-February, so I wonder if it will affect the Rodeo.) There is a guy in Cihuatlan who makes wallet-sized versions of the vaccination certificate for only 50 pesos; you send it to him via WhatsApp and then go pick it up. Once "booster week" is over, I would like to do this but I don't have a vehicle to go to Cihuatlan. If someone who does have "wheels" also wants to do this, I will go with you and pay for your gas. The alternative is carrying around a piece of paper. | -------------------Jalisco, one must show a vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test

This new policy is for the state of Jalisco; it is not nationwide, except for one other state on the Baja Peninsula. Source: today's edition of Mexico News Daily | -------------------Re: Jalisco, one must show a vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test

A vaccination certificate or negative test valid for 48 hours will be requested for some recreational activities. A staggered calendar is established for a return to presence in schools: In basic education on January 17 .
