PRP injection information needed.

I am thinking of getting PRP injections for my knee pain here in La Manz. . I would really appreciate any information from others who have had the injections….did it help the knee pain? Etc. Thanks so much. Email at bigredinchina@hotmail.com or answer here. | -------------------Re: PRP injection information needed.

I had it for my knee pain about 6 years ago with Dr. Rosa in Villa Obregón. She is terrific, but the bottom line is that I needed a knee replacement so it didn’t help too much. It only relieved my pain slightly. The knee replacement eliminated all my knee pain. | -------------------Re: PRP injection information needed.

I also had PRP with Dra.Rosa in my hip a few years ago...it took a few months slowly improving and then..no pain at all! Also with Dra. Gabi in La Manz for a knee prob....all good now I guess everyone is different but I am very happy with both experiences. Linda | -------------------Re: PRP injection information needed.

I also have had a few PRP knee treatments by Dra. Rosa and a couple at Rebalance in Victoria BC. All treatments lasted 6-8 months for me (not everyone!). I feel Rosa's treatment was more thorough (2-3 joint injections vs one). Rosa's clinic is less costly as a bonus. | -------------------Re: PRP injection information needed.

Thx Jim. I too had a prp on my shoulder at Rebalance. Worked well. Just wondering about knee and the cost here is a plus compared to rebalance! | -------------------Re: PRP injection information needed.

I don't know how prp compares to zynvisc 1, also an injection in the knee, but I had about 10 to 11 months of improved flexibility in my knees. A year later the surgeon said that we could repeat the process, however in my opinion this was a bandaid approach and we decided on the titanium knee replacement. What a difference. At least it was not cortezone as this seems to deteriorate over time Russell | -------------------Re: PRP injection information needed.

I’ve had PRP here with Dra. Rosa and a saline injection with Gaby. I’ve also had PRP with a naturopathic Doctor in Courtenay, BC and with a medical Doctor in Comox. I’ve had one knee replaced and am trying not to replace the other knee. The treatments are OK for me. Not great but they buy me some time. They aren’t the miracle I was promised, that’s for sure. | -------------------Re: PRP injection information needed.
