Does anyone know where I can buy a postcard?

A friend in Ohio, who is now bedridden with a crippliing disease, has asked people to send him postcards to cheer him up. I would like to find one while my "US mail courier" is in town so that she can send it upon her return to the States. Does anyone know who sells postcards here or in Melaque? | -------------------Re: Does anyone know where I can buy a postcard?

Thanks! I will stop in tomorrow. (Currently, I am too cold to move.) | -------------------Re: Does anyone know where I can buy a postcard?

You could also try the 2 shops on the main drag that sell the blow up water toys. They used to have regular post cards - even a few La Manz croc ones - on racks hidden away at the back. | -------------------Re: Does anyone know where I can buy a postcard?

Santana Rentals and Real Estate has postcards picturing La Manzanilla with humor at no charge. Stop in and take what you like. They are located just inside the entry door on the right. | -------------------Re: Does anyone know where I can buy a postcard?

Lynne, I have some post cards of oil paintings of La Manzanilla and Melaque. Maybe you have seen the same images at the La Catalina auctions. Anyway, I'll donate a few to help cheer this fellow up 351-7256 Ron | -------------------Re: Does anyone know where I can buy a postcard?

Thanks, Ron. I'll call you in the morning to arrange to meet you somewhere this week. (I no longer live on the road you used to walk uphill to your house.) My number is 314 132 4396, although I don't live in Colima. And thanks to everyone else for their good ideas. This friend in Ohio, an incredible musician in his early fifties, is bedridden now with an incurable illness. I could send him a postcard once a month, and I could also send some to my elderly aunts and an older friend who just moved into a nursing home. Tomorrow will be Postcard Day. | -------------------Re: Does anyone know where I can buy a postcard?

At the Melaque post office, but a friend will mail mine from the US. | -------------------Re: Does anyone know where I can buy a postcard?

From past experience, mailing a letter from the Melaque Post Office to Canada can take 5-6 months. I’m not sure it has improved over the past few years! | -------------------
