Nia Fitnessart on the beach

Posted by Dhyana on January 25, 2015, 12:08 pm

Beginners classes this Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9:30am, introducing this celebratory fusion of dance arts, martial arts and healing arts, that combines form and freedom.

These classes will focus on Level One intensity in order to introduce the 52 moves of Nia, a mind-body-spirit program for personal and planetary transformation.

I am a certified Nia black belt who continues to teach after 22 years because of the Joy, freedom, and body wisdom that Nia cultivates. I also love the eclectic music of each class - Latin, Native American, East Indian, jazz, pop etc.

"I love Nia! It's a total mind, body, spirit celebration!"
~ Christiane Northrup, M.D., author of Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom

Nia replaces the "no pain no gain" theory of fitness with "Love your Body: Love your Life"

Because of this week's morning low tides, we can be at the south end of the beach, just past Bambu Bar, in the shade of the palm trees and elemental beauty. Please bring a blanket for the ending Floorplay.

Men and women welcome!

When our bodies are connected with our minds - visualizing, sounding, moving with meaning - outside in the sun, with music to get your blood flowing again, to lift you up and bring you back to joy.... your life changes one day at a time... the world is transformed, one person at a time.

Bea, I tried emailing you at the address you gave but it was bounced by your server with the message: The email account that you tried to reach does not exist.

Why make such negative comments? Judging instead of experiencing with an open mind. Your comments are hurtful to me. I’m a real person (not a fake email address) trying to make a difference in the world.

PS. There is no price. Just come with an open mind.

to all you naysayers I would like to tell you of how much I enjoyed Dhyana's NIA class on the beach this morning. She is personable and knowledgeable with what she teaches, and like a good teacher adjusts her instruction to her students, offering many alternatives, even some for an old lady who needs a hip replacemen like me. The loacation is awesome, the music inspiring and the energy exhilarating. Try it...you'll like it.
