The sewage contamination of the beach is neither continuous or seasonal, but can happen whenever heavy rains cause sewer overflow on the streets or require releasing water from the lagoon. One can speculate all they want about the degree or type of contamination present, but at this time the amount of contaminated water water leaching into the sea is visually minimal. At this present time there are many people swimming at the beach.
