Inviting Support

No, this isn't life threatening or even a needed service. Your gift is only responding to a request for participation in a community event, the Kings Day children's event; in a way, to start the new year together on a positive note and therefore, in a sense, needed. The Delegado and I are hoping that many will come with a small offering each, like a grain of sand, to help form and build community, for residents, visitors, and expats alike. We have lots to do this year and your presence is requested to commence with positive energy, together. Also, we have a lot to be thankful for as expressed in the Love Poem to La Manzanilla. The event takes place this Sunday the, 6th, in the 'Jardin' at 5:00 pm with dancers from Angeles Locos performing at 6:00. Esmeralda is waiting in the Delegado's office to receive your support, big or small, and unwrapped gifts. We can do this, Cruz

Thanks for reminding us of this community event, Cruz, and how we can easily support it. I dropped off my kid's gift with Esmerelda this afternoon and look forward to Sunday's fiesta. Nos vemos! | -----------------Re: Inviting Support

Gracias, gracias to all who have dropped by and left your gifts and donations. As it turns out our County, La Huerta, is unable to help in supporting our event as is the custom. So Francisco has to do a lot with little, which also seems to be the custom, lol. So no fear. Sweet bread will replace the Kings Day Rosca and hot chocolate or atole (corn masa hot drink) will the place of the punch. And excitement will permeate the air with raffling of gifts to the children. I hear there are some soccer balls that will find new homes and kids to play with. What La Huerta can provide is the platform for the program and Blue Bay Dancers. They are set to perform at 6:00 and worth not missing. When they dance I feel like I'm in a Hollywood, *Carmen Miranda movie, set in a quaint little Mexican beach town, lol. It is fun. So again, Francisco and I thank you very much and hope that you won't miss the event. Cruz *Does this date me or what? 1940's I think. Need to Google, lol.

Cruz, I went to the delegation to deliver some gifts for the kids Saturday afternoon but it was closed. I left them with the police officers. So I hope you can get them on time for the Kings Day children’s event. | -----------------Re: Inviting Support

Yes, Rhema, Francisco will be in the Delegacion office, in and out today, and/or you can leave gifts with the police. They have been receiving and passing items onto Francisco yesterday as he was in and out Saturday. Thank you to all for your response! Cruz

Thanks Cruz, I went by the Delegation around noon today and no one was there. I left four gifts provided by Nansee, Melody, Carol Ann and myself, at the front door to the office. Hope they're discovered in time for tonight's event. Thank you for all your work and support! | -----------------
