Help, German Shepherd puppy mill
Posted by Dean on February 15, 2019, 7:43 am
Julie I live on Punta Tiopa just above the grade school. One female has given birth and FIVE black puppies are now roaming around and mommy wants nothing to do with them. Then, the second "about to pop" German Shepherd is there somewhere too. There appears to be no food... The Mexican house is on the NE corner across from the school, with the video games. | -------------------Re: Help, German Shepherd puppy mill

Dear Dean, I think who you need to contact is Valentine at Second Chance if it is actually an abandonment of puppies or dogs. Cisco's is dedicated to spaying and neutering and does not have facilities or the money to handle abandoned dogs. Last year the Canadian neighbor of a local family in a similar situation helped the family by buying food for the dogs and puppies and then made sure the puppies were brought into the Cisco's clinic to be sterilized. It ended up being a very happy situation. Help this family and their dogs by helping them buy food . If needed I will visit them and try to talk them into bringing the pups into the clinic. If they are a couple of weeks old now they will be ready for surgery by March 11th. Please be proactive and help them. Buying a few bags of dog food might really help the family and dogs. My guess is that these are part of the German Shepard flood of puppies that were running around town last May and June. Yes, the family is probably planning on selling the puppies if they look like they are pure-which I doubt. It happened with pit bulls the year before. Sad but true. | -------------------Dee is my neighbor

and her and judy were instrumental in taking care of the puppies, who belong to Eva, our Mexican neighbor. I arrived last May and took over the feeding and watering. when the 50lb bag of food was gone they had no more food here and went home. I cannot do that again. they had a nice place to sleep, my garage and were very content. now, the same situation times five puppies and they are roaming the neighborhood I fear for the safety of the puppies, will you please take a moment to talk with the owner. Saludos...Dean | -------------------Re: Dee is my neighbor

So after searching for the German Shepard and neglected puppies with no food ,etc. I found out they (there are only 2 left) are Socorro’s. They are beautiful puppies and appear to be pure breed. I think Don Pedro(he works with the school) has the father. I’ve known Socorro for 20 years and she takes really good care of her animals. She has a special needs son and another son that is in a wheel chair after a terrible accident many years ago. I enjoyed seeing her today. I hadn't in a couple of years. She’s a great seamstress too. In case anyone needs sewing. There is no “about to pop” other dog. At least not at her house. Not surprised the mother doesn’t want to feed the 2 remaining puppies. They are big and fat and very well fed. Dean thank you so much for caring and thank you Joanne for buying puppy food. The puppies are just fine. The food will go to good use . We distribute, free of charge, food to everyone that brings their animals into the clinic to be spayed or neutered. | ------------------- |
