"your view is about what I would have expected from you"
And sadly, that is what I've come to expect from you, too - ad hominem disparaging remarks like this every time I have an opinion different from yours (sorry, I guess my calling it doodoo was an ill-advised phrase and for that I apologize). Look, I'm sorry that my science background, critical thinking and beliefs prevent me from going down certain rabbit holes with you. It also compels me to speak out when I read or see things like this "on the fringe", as you said yourself. It just happens that the anti-vaccine movement is top of my disgust list in the whole anti-science/anti-truth/misinformation conspiracy-theory world that's evolved in these past years. Bringing it back to the subject at hand, we would all mostly agree that when you wear a mask you protect me (and probably yourself a bit at least) against Covid. Well, it's no different with vaccines - it's all about herd immunity and respecting others right to live without easily preventable diseases. For heaven's sakes, you can't deny that vaccines work and have for years! Happy that no one I know had polio or smallpox (speaking of pandemics!) and that my granddaughter nor any of her friends will probably not have to suffer through or die from red measles. Gee I wonder why that is...
Obviously there are quite a few reading this that have a different opinion than mine on this subject, "cada loca con su tema", as they say. To be clear, it's not that many of the things that Zack was saying were not positive and looking to a better future for one and all. No problemas with much of his non-science dialogue and aspirations - he's obviously smart and earnest. It was the connection he has with anti-vaxxers that makes me squirm and question his motives. And in looking at some of his other videos, I must agree with you Daniel that "some of his beliefs were a bit of a stretch".
Oh crap, way off topic now. Sorry that your post was kind of hijacked, Mazinka! I do hope that you soon see more masks and gel and social distancing about town...
