When it was announced that we were opening up the world again, like from a long sleep, I recall feeling that the problem was over. That we were waking up from the nightmare. No more Covid-19.
I had to quickly remind myself that no, this virus is alive and coming down the pike, possibly to us even, and to not let my guard down. It was, possibly, wishful thinking for a second. Watching the statics climb in Mexico sobered my state of mind and I jumped back to our present reality, Covid is lurking. I would rather not catch it now when there are more questions than answers and when treatment modalities are low.
I'm glad that La Manzanilla is opening up but I think that many people in town are stuck in hoping and thinking that the problem is over and that we are immune. It looks like we have to start with the wearing of the mask and distancing battle all over again.
Also, there are no more funds available for the reten at the entrance to town should it need activation again, which is my guess. When Guadalajara opens up and their pollution rises, so will the bug. It likes dirty air to cling on and spread. Then we're sitting ducks again.
Mis dos pesos on that subject but I still want to share my thoughts on vaccines and the thoughts that you brought up, Pablo. I'll continue when my 'puter' starts behaving better, lol, Cruz
