The beach is rocky, the lagoon opens into the ocean when we receive significant rain and/or, sometimes, at high tide. The trench is most always there this time of year, and this year is no exception. There is a very short shelf of sand, beyond the trench, where one can stand at shoulder depth before swimming out. The bridge is currently out. I doubt it will be replaced until after the conclusion of the rainy season. On a side note, I saw a few dolphins during my swim yesterday. I don't recall seeing them so close to shore this time of year...maybe taking advantage of all the fish previously held captive in the croc lagoon??
