We have found a mattress for Tilin and he found and purchased a usable bike with money he received from the Governor's storm victim fund. So, these two needs of Tilin are taken care of.
And Rita is all set too for the time being. She will be in a PV hospital for at least 2 - 3 weeks. Her brother, a PV resident, is covering her care. Rita's son, Alfredo, stays as caregiver/nurse's aid in her room. He was able to take a leave of absence from his job at a local LM hardware store but is loosing needed income.
Before this, Rita was scheduled to return home last Saturday from a hospital in Manzanillo. But it was discovered that she needed additional tests and treatments, including blood transfusions which the hospital couldn't supply.
When Rita returns to LM, and we pray she does, her family here will need help in covering her daily 4 dialysis procedures which will come to about 600 pesos per day.
Today we requested help from DIF in the form of a wheel chair and porta-potty. They took the request under consideration. Cruz
PS: Rita is weak but in relatively good spirits although she has begun to feel like a pin cushion.
