Its back, but transmission will be very spotty for a while, at least until I am back to two computers, and find a better home for the cam. It is exposed to the rain right now. I will try to focus on mornings and sunset time. https://www.lamanzanilla.info/web_cam.html Here is a photo of the back of the office, notice the short doors, probably a couple feet of sand there. The cam is on that chair in the center. Onward | -----------------------Re: Wave killed the cam

Ill never forget seeing the wave take out the cam, I was just walking by my laptop which was playing it and looked, right then this wall of water hits the cam, kinda like when your swimming in big waves and one is coming at you and BOOM! 🤣

Yes, it was a come to Jesus moment for me, if the cam hadn't been in the window a lot less water would have come in. Not that it mattered in the long run, the office and most every place on the beach are ####ed up big time. Today there were still some high tides and big waves and I was very jumpy, maybe a little PTSD or something as that memory of just what you described seeing kept flashing back. Efit - I have never seen the waves progress as fast as they did then. From the first wave to hit the office doors it was less than a minute till they were half way up the doors then a minute later up to and over the windows. It was then that I said to myself "I got to get off the beach" and packed a boogie bag with the computers and important papers. All the while I was doing that waves were hitting the office over window high and each time some water would come in and I could see under water. I tried to get the chargers for the computers in case my stay was going to be a long one but got shocked doing that and gave it up. I sat in front of the closed office for about 10 minutes chatting with Miguel from Rauals and watching 6 inches of ware come through the malicon from the beach, just imagining what was happening just inside the closed door. Then headed out.

Gawd I pray this will stop. Feast n Famine... 6 months not a drop of rain... now I think we need an ark. | -----------------------Re: Wave killed the cam
