"Lets be real generous and change my 65 billion to 10 billion mask needed, Ya think they got that many? My guess is no,"
Right, you admit that you have no clue or proof of how many masks are available. And neither do I by the way...
"Yup, my math sucks big time but your conformation bias is almost equally bad. but lets use your $60 number per person, $120 for a married couple $240 for a family of four, it is not affordable for the average person."
Confirmation bias had nothing to do with what I thought would be reasonable assumptions and numbers that I used for my calculations. Even if we go by your take on costs, you think $240 for one month is beyond affordable for the average family? On what do you base this bold assertion? For some, I agree it definitely would be a burden, but for many, I doubt this would be taxing. Jeez, we're only talking one month here okay, as per Dr. Karan's contention. The whole point is to wear a mask, whether it's cloth or N95, i.e. wear whatever you can afford and are comfortable with risk-wise.
"So the story keeps changing [it does? what story is that?], now that production is close to demand..." [you know this? facts without proof are useless, sí?]"
"... they are choosing to let people in on the fact that only the N95 actually works. This is specialty fear based marketing for the few who can afford it. How wonderful."
Who the hell are "they"? And now it's suddenly a conspiracy theory you're touting. What exactly are they "choosing to let people in on"? All these facts about masks have been known for months. And it is nice to finally see someone in the Whitehouse actually wearing a mask...
