So to follow your logic, the Canadian people will come for a couple of weeks, who might have come for a month. The economy for the renters is halved. Yes, the renters make more money on the 2 weeks, but they are biting off their noses to spite their faces. Better to rent for a month at a reduced rate; than for two weeks for the sake of wanting USD. The whole town benefits from people coming for longer.
Anyone been to the beach lately. It's fairly quiet this year. I don't wish this on a place I hold so dear, but if I can't afford US Dollars, I can't stay as long and I can't spend my money at Palapa Joes, or Pedros, Lidias, or Chop chops, if I'm not here.
There are a lot of Canadian renters. A LOT, and they're all talking!
I and many others, wish to see Pesos as the currency in this little village. We don't all have to follow a trend.
